Read the assigned text chapters first. Be prepared to be examined on any or all of the environmental terms or concepts found in the texts. For your homework for this class session, answer the following questions. In preparing for this assignment, you should review the link provided for this course to help you analyze case law.

  1. Answer the discussion questions for both assigned texts.
  2. The EPA received instructions in 1985 to eliminate "all" pollutants. From where were they to remove all pollutants and upon the authority of what Act of Congress? (You will need to do some web research to answer this question).
  3. Describe how NEPA has been interpreted historically in U.S. Supreme Court Decisions.
  4. In 200 words describe the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Calvert Cliffs’ Coordinating Committee, Inc. v. Atomic Energy Commission.
